Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 released V10 engine / maximum power 640 horsepower

Lamborghini launches the new Huracán GT3 EVO2 racing car, which is designed and developed by the Squadra Corse racing department based on the Huracán STO model. It is equipped with a naturally aspirated V10 engine and can output 640 horsepower.

The Huracán GT3 EVO2 adopts a new aerodynamic solution and air intake system. The hexagonal air inlet design and rear wing derived from the Huracán STO make it more efficient. Air intake system and better vehicle balance. The roof air inlets are connected to the air ducts, replacing the side air inlets, and optimally direct airflow into the engine, making it more responsive to the driver's needs.

The 10 electronically controlled throttle valves designed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse's racing department improve the efficiency of the V10 engine with titanium alloy valves, and the entire system is held in place with only four screws on the engine. This solution is used on Essenza SCV12 for the first time, making maintenance work more convenient.

The full carbon fiber body adopts an exterior design created in collaboration with Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design center. The new splitter, diffuser and underbody further improve aerodynamic efficiency. The outer layer of the carbon fiber bottom is made of high-strength Zylon fiber, which together with the new diffuser, provides the new car with greater downforce than the current GT3 EVO.

A redesigned roll cage with two rear pillars, together with new carbon fiber Kevlar honeycomb side panels already tested on the Essenza SCV12, improves door impact protection timely safety and compliant with FIA 2022 regulations. Plexiglass side windows are secured to the carbon fiber door panels with a ring of screws to increase structural rigidity and reliability.

The Lamborghini Squadra Corse racing department has designed new calipers and brake pads to improve its performance in endurance races and short-course races. These solutions, combined with a dedicated TCS traction control system and ABS anti-lock braking system, make the model easy to control in low-grip conditions, even when driven by a gentleman driver. The models delivered to customers are equipped with PZero tires (325.680-18 at the front; 325/705-18 at the rear) provided by Pirelli, a long-term partner of Squadra Corse’s racing division.

The new model will be delivered in the second half of 2022, and the previous-generation Huracán GT3 EVO model can also be upgraded to GT3 EVO2 specifications through an upgrade kit. The new Huracán GT3 EVO2 will make its track debut at the 2023 Daytona 24 Hours.
